How do I know I connected the tubing all the way?

Put a mark 5/8” up from the end of the tube to make sure you are inserting the tubing into the quick connect. Recheck an hour after the tank is filled with water, which takes about an hour.

Why is water leaking from the drain saddle?

The drain tube (larger 3/8” red tubing) must be as short and straight as possible. This is a gravity fed line and if there is any bend, loop or dip in the tube, the rinse water will not flow into the drain properly.

Is the system supposed to make noise?

The only noise the system should make is a quiet gurgling from the airgap faucet. During set up you might hear sputtering from air leaving system.

Why is my water coming out black?

There could be carbon dust/fines since these are new filters. While this affects the color of the water, it is not harmful. Make sure you flushed the system correctly, you could flush again if desired.

How do I know if I connected the filter correctly?

The cartridge handle should be horizontal and handle labeling should be right side up.
