High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (HMW HA) (150~180kDa):

It will not penetrate the skin but form a non-occlusive protective film that prevents moisture loss and strengthens the protective barrier on the skin’s surface.Effects: long lasting moisturization, trans-epidermal water loss protection, good suppleness retention.

Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (LMW HA) (10~40kDa):

It has good absorption and benefits within the epidermis, provides a deeply moisturising effect.Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid can be easily absorbed into the epidermis, improves your skin texture, keep your skin youthful and beautiful.It promotes deeper hydration, moisture, and maintenance for skin elasticity to make you look youthful and healthy.

Using both high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid can offer maximum benefits to the skin as each type has its own unique strengths and weaknesses that work to complement each other. For very dry, aged skin, you could use very low molecular weight hyaluronic acid for its good absorption and benefits within the epidermis, improve your skin texture & keep your skin youthful, and combine this with high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate for long lasting moisture protection at the surface of the skin.

How to make a 1% Hyaluronic Acid concentration using HMW HA

step 1:Sprinkle 1g/0.0350z HMW HA into a disinfected container.

step 2: Add 100ml/ 3.530z of distilled water into container.

step 3: Powder will get chunky or clumpy, or may stick on container, this is normal. lf you use a stirring tool like spoon, the powder may stick to it, it is also normal. No need stir it too much just leave the spoon in water, the powder stick on it will gradually dissolve

step 4: Keep the container at room temperature for 6 to 8 hours(or over night).The solution will turn into gel.

step 5: Mix serum with your lotion or cream and apply to face. Store the rest HA serum in the refrigerator.
